You may not know her name, but you
may have seen Crystal’s face on Facebook.
Her face went viral due to a group’s inappropriate use of a picture from
her blog. But Crystal Hodges is more
than pixels on a screen. She has a
powerful story of confidence and acceptance to share with the world and you
will want to hear it from her!
Crystal Hodges is an inspirational
young lady that captures the hearts of everyone she meets. She uses humor and real life experiences to
connect to her audience. Her courage and
openness draws the audience to her while she is speaking to a crowd or writing on her blog. This
enables them to feel free to ask questions and become involved. Her interests include photography, writing,
speaking and baking.
Crystal has had the opportunity to
travel to Japan, England, Mexico, Spain and the Virgin Islands as part of
humanitarian efforts. The country that
has touched her heart the most is Japan.
She has been to Japan three times – the last was in June 2011 when she
went to help a Tsunami Disaster Relief Team.
Her work in these countries has been:
·
Japan – Children’s Ministry and
Tsunami Disaster Relief Work
·
England – Team Journalist and
Photographer, Outreach Team
·
Mexico – House Building, Women and
Children Ministries
·
Spain – Team Journalist and
Photographer, Outreach Team
·
Virgin Island – Children’s Summer

Crystal has a very successful blog
that has reached people from all over the world. She tells her story through her blog. She is also a published writer for One
Magazine, Treasure Magazine, The Mighty Website, and most recently, writing for Randall House
Publications. She has also been interviewed for
an article and featured in The Fresno Bee.
Due to a port-wine stain on her
face, Crystal has the drive to educate people on the causes, treatments and
effects of this birthmark. She has
spoken to children in Fresno Unified elementary school classrooms, women’s
groups and hospital personnel.
Even through difficult times,
Crystal chooses to focus on and share the positive aspects of situations. Her desire is that she is a light in the
world. In a world that judges people by
their outward appearance, she encourages her audience to see themselves as they
are – beautifully and wonderfully made.
Crystal is passionate about her
story and would love to share it with your group. She is able to tailor her message to meet the
needs of various settings, types of groups and all ages. Please feel free to visit her website and
blog to learn more. She would love to
hear from you.
